REVENGE!!!!

I know it is once in a while we get a good revenge story, which is fine by me cause well if it's one thing you don't wanna overkill is probably the best kind of story you can get. As a writer I find a Revenge story is almost theraputic cause it helps you exercise the darkest corners of your mind, what you would hate to have happen to you or your loved ones and how you would deal with the S.O.B's who wronged you. Though I have come across some pretty brutal stories in my time and now I am here to share them with you. Though I will not number these cause well it is difficult for me to put one over the other. Some You Will Know And Some You Will Want To Know.

GET CARTER

Micheal Caine is Carter, A Professional Killer who receives word that his Brother has been Murdered. Once he steps off the train home all Hell breaks loose. Now he has the whole London Underground after him before he gets answers. To Hell with Stallone's crap remake, this is The Real Carter A Hero that is a Villain.

DEATH RIDES A HORSE

Aside from Once Upon A Time In The West, this is my all time favorite Revenge Western. John Phillip Law plays a man haunted by the night a group of outlaws came in and massacred his family, he remembers each hooligan by a trait they have (Scar, Tattoo, Locket, ect.) 15 years go by and he shows that he is a master with a 6-Shooter, As another bit of the story Lee Van Cleef plays a Prisoner just released and seems to have a past with the same gang only his vendetta is from an act of betrayal. The Paths of the two men cross and it is an unspoken and un-mutual partnership as the are on the trail of the Ruthless Criminals.

ROLLING THUNDER

This movie is dubbed as Tarantino's Favorite Revenge Movie. I can clearly see why, William Devane plays Lt. Charles T. Raine a Vietnam Vet who returns home to Texas after being held prisoner in a POW Camp. But nothing is all Parades and Handshakes for Raine, his Wife reveals that she has been with another man and wants to marry him, Society seems so different to him but the only thing that seems to keep Charles going is his Son, although they hardly know each other they seem to want to get in the process of being close as a Father and Son.As a gift for his service Lt. Raine is awarded a bag full of Silver Dollars, the event is televised and is seen all over Texas even by a group of heartless bastards who surprise the good Lt. by invading his home and going through every measure to get the money even sticking Raine's hand in a Garbage disposal. Charle's Son can't stand to see his Daddy hurt and grabs the money for the Crooks but they oblige him with a bullet.Left in the Hospital and Visited by fellow vet friend (played by a very young Tommy Lee Jones). The Soldiers set out to find the men who took Charles' Life from him and more importantly, took his Son.

DUDES

A Forgotten Classic, I remember loving this movie as a kid, I will find it on DVD. 3 Punk Rockers are on the road from New York to LA but when they stop in the middle of a Hick town they find themselves hassled by some Good Ole' Boys. One of the Punkers is murdered (victim played by Red Hot Chili Peppers Bass Player FLEA) and so his two Friends Grant (Jon Cryer) and Biscuit (Daniel Roebuck) are on the road after the hicks who killed their Coffee Mug Jacket wearing Buddy (Seriously an Amazing jacket and movie you have to see)

This could be the start of another segment I call "Today's Revenge", I will try to not mention obvious ones too much but come on, they are great for a reason.By far my favorite type of story that I would love to see another one done properly in America, cause everywhere else has it down right. But I will cover that in the next edition
